The 32nd meeting of the Astronomical Society of India (ASI) will be hosted by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali (IISERM), during March 20 - 22, 2014. Two satellite workshops are being planned for March 19, 2014.

We plan to provide shared accommodation to participants in the institute visitors hostel and student hostel. This accommodation is covered within the registration fees of Rs.3,000. We will also provide information about hotels if some participant want to stay in Chandigarh or are looking for a more comfortable accommodation. In this case we will only provide transport to/from the conference venue and you will have to cover the cost of accommodation.
About the Institute: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali is one of the five institutes established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The basic mandate of the IISERs is to carry out research in frontier areas of science and to provide quality science education at the undergraduate and at the postgraduate level. IISER Mohali started functioning from a transit campus in 2007 and has moved all its operations to the campus in Sector 81, Mohali (renamed SAS Nagar). The institute has close to 70 faculty members, around 550 students in the BS-MS programme and around 200 PhD and Integrated PhD students. Research and teaching in biological sciences, chemical sciences, earth and environmental science, humanities and social sciences, mathematical sciences and physical sciences is being carried out at the institute.
